I do professional transcription services and copy editing. Transcription is another one of my random hobbies, and I have experience copy editing as a journalist.
I mostly transcribe tape-recorded interviews used by social scientists in their research, but happy to entertain other types of projects.
Pricing is as follows:
Transcription
$15/hr*
Copy Editing
$20/hr for proofreading (grammar, punctuation etc.)
$25/hr for structural editing
I can happily provide references.
*For those in the area, please know that this is a very competitive price. Most transcriptionists charge at least $10 more per hour, but I have tried to keep my price low, as most of my current clients are graduate students.
